About Me:

Liz Stenholdt Photography

That’s me in the cowboy hat!

Thanks for stopping by! My name is Aliza (she/her) and I am a Chicago-based actor.

My passion for performing ignited at the ripe age of 6 years old, when I played a horsefly in my first grade production of Bugzy (I had one line, and if you ask me nicely I’ll perform it for you). Ever since that performance, I’ve known that I wanted to be an actor.

I was fortunate to have grown up in close proximity to the bustling theatre scene of Washington, D.C., where I’ve attended classes, camps, masterclasses, and, of course, performances at many of the 172 theaters in the area. I attended West Virginia University where I graduated cum laude in 2021 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in acting and a minor in public relations.

During my time at WVU, I performed in numerous short films and stage productions. I was also able to get involved with other aspects of productions, such as working as a dresser and a stagehand. I also worked with the Morgantown Youth Theatre Academy, where I served as assistant director of shows and taught acting techniques to pre-teens and teens ages 11-15. For my final project at WVU, I was cast as Cordelia in King Lear, which was filmed in collaboration with West Virginia Public Broadcasting and premiered on WVPB channels, and was also distributed to schools across the state. Clips from the production can be viewed on my reel.

Outside of performing, I love to hike, roller skate, bake, collect mugs and watch bad TV.
